Bone Thugs-N-Harmony Tour Makes Hometown Stop in June

Bone Thugs-N-Harmony will make a tour stop in its hometown in June of this year.

The group itself was formed in Cleveland nearly 30 years ago.

One of the top rap groups of all time will be making a tour stop in its hometown.

Bone Thugs-n-Harmony will hold a concert this June 7 at Cleveland’s Agora Theatre and Ballroom. The venue made the announcement Tuesday, with tickets set to go on sale this Friday at 10 a.m.

Formed in Cleveland in 1991, Bone Thugs-n-Harmony was signed to Ruthless Record’s by N.W.A.’s Eazy-E and soon found many of its songs and albums near the top of the charts. One of those singles, “Tha Crossroads,” reached No. 1 in the Unites States and won a Grammy Award for Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group. The five artists worked with legends such as Tupac Shakur and The Notorious B.I.G., and MTV later called them “the most melodic hip-hop group of all time.”

Ticket prices for the concert start at $30. In addition, the Agora also announced the following shows that will take place this year:

  • Beach House – Aug. 6
  • The Starting Line – Sept. 13
  • Postmodern Jukebox – Oct. 29
  • Bert Kreischer – Nov. 22

93.5 KDAY-FM Interview: Krayzie Bone On His Relationship W/ Eazy-E, Meaning Behind Hit Song ‘Tha Crossroads’, & More

Krayzie Bone recently stopped by the KDAY Morning Show with Romeo to talk about Krush Groove, Bone Thugs’ relationship with Eazy-E and the meaning behind “Tha Crossroads.”

Krayzie went on to mention the love the group gets when they’re in the West Coast and how excited he gets when Bone Thugs performs at Krush Groove.

“Man, it’s always good [getting a call for Krush Groove]. I be kinda upset when we don’t, I be like ‘we ain’t on this one?’ This is traditional. This is legendary for hip hop, this is the first hip hop station, so it’s important to do what ya’ll do.”

– Krayzie Bone

He went on to mention his relationship with Eazy-E and how he found out about his passing.

“It’s so crazy how everything went down. We were called to the office one day, but we hadn’t seen E in about a month and it was strange for us because he would contact us every day. We got a call from the office and we didn’t know what was going on because they were giving us our first checks. We didn’t know why Eazy wasn’t giving us our first checks, but we got our money. We got our money and we moved back to Cleveland. MTV News comes on and it says Eazy-E had just passed away from AIDS. We didn’t know anything.”

– Krayzie Bone

The rapper went on to talk about the meaning of ‘Tha Crossroads‘ and how it was intended to be for a family member. Watch the full KDAY Morning Show interview below:

[Genius.com] 21 Savage Calls Layzie Bone’s Diss Track “The Weakest Diss Song I’ve Ever Heard In My Life”

The Bone Thugs member responded by challenging 21 to a boxing match.

21 Savage is not impressed by Layzie Bone’s recent Migos diss track. During an Instagram Live session, the Atlanta rapper described “Let Me Go Migo” as “the weakest diss song I’ve ever heard in my life.”

“I thought that shit was going to be hard, ‘cause I love all that old shit,” 21 said. “But that shit was wack as a motherfucker. I’m talking ’bout… that was probably the weakest diss song I’ve ever heard in my life, no cap. Like, what the fuck, bro?”

He also speculated that the Bone Thugs-N-Harmony member doesn’t have the right people around him if they didn’t stop him from dropping the track. “Who the hell let that man put that shit out, man?” he said. “That nigga homeboys ain’t shit.”

In response, Layzie challenged 21 to a boxing match:

“Let’s call up [J. Prince] from Rap-a-Lot, he one of the biggest boxing promoters in the world now,” Layzie said. “Let’s tell him to get us a fight on pay-per-view, my nigga. Let’s hit that shit out and make up afterwards, but don’t call my wife out by her name, talkin’ ‘bout she eat pork chops and all this shit.”

As Layzie points out in the video, he already issued the challenge on “Let Me Go Migo,” when he raps:

Fuck a gun we can fight
You say you ready you nice
Pay-per-view, damn, buy them rights
Sold to the highest bidder

The two rappers first locked horns when the Bone Thugs rapper took issue with Migos‘ claim that they are biggest group ever, and 21 entered the fray in support of the Atlanta trio.

Layzie initially addressed 21 for disrespecting his wife on “Let Me Go Migo,” when he says:

Hold up, this my Savage flow
This shit feels too average tho (21)
This little nigga done lost his mind
Disrespecting my marriage, oh
Fuck my life, fuck my wife

It seems like all of this beef is going to continue playing out on Instagram for now. Offset is the only Migos member who’s directly responded to Layzie, inviting him to a bankroll challenge. Meanwhile, 21 Savage seems content to serve as a commentator.

Layzie Bone Releases “Let Me Go” Diss Toward Migos, 21 Savage

Christmas night saw the release of Layzie Bone’s diss track toward Migos and 21 Savage.

Layzie posted to his social media a link to his diss track on soundcloud.com, which you can listen to below.

Layzie is currently feuding with Migos after an interview with Big Boy from Big Boy’s Neighborhood claiming they were the biggest group to ever exist, completely ignoring other big hip-hop groups that came before them, which Layzie took offense.

21 Savage recently got involved in the dispute, during an interview with The Breakfast Club.
